Chahan Minassian's Central Park project

With its Central Park view, interior designer Chahan Minassian had the liberty to decorate this apartment with his own stylistic expression.

In the living room, a marble "labrum" from the Roman period is mounted on a bronze base by artist Bruno Romeda, serving as a coffee table. To the right of the custom-designed armchair, a marble and bronze coffee table by Richard Blow. On either side of Chahan’s sofa , a rare pair of side tables by Paul Dupré-Lafon. Behind, a beautiful bronze and silver sculpture by Richard Filipowski and chandelier by Max Ingrand.

In the entrance, whose walls are wrapped in woven suede, an artwork by Cy Twombly. Under Warhol’s Mona Lisa, a resin bench by Studio Nucleo.

In the living room, leaning against the sofa, stands a sculptural table in Machat marble which features a pair of bronze lamps by Robert Phandeve and a crystal and silver fruit bowl by Boris Lacroix. Next to it, a bronze and rock crystal marquetry side table and a series of custom-designed bar stools designed by Chahan.

The study is built around a painting by Jean Dubuffet. Around an Art Deco table in olive wood and shagreen, an armchair in tortoise shell marquetry by Karl Springer and a pair of Fiorenzade Franco Albini armchairs . The walnut cabinets are by Sten-Olof Fransson and the silk rug is designed by Chahan himself.

The bathroom is filled with Portuguese stone. Above the tub is an aluminum sculpture by Gregory Ryan created by the artist for this apartment. On the ceiling, two Murano glass suspensions and on the right, a cabinet in pyrite marquetry signed Kam Tin.
